Our mole starters are crafted with extra care and love. They are vegetarian, gluten free and easy to prepare. All you need to prepare a mole dinner is any of our mole starters, your favorite stock, tomato sauce, a sprinkle of brown sugar and a dash of salt. Making mole has never been easier.

SHOP THE COLLECTIONINGREDIENTS:
16oz Guelaguetza's Mole Starter
15oz Tomato Sauce, unsalted
3 cups of broth
¼ teaspoon salt
1 Oaxacan chocolate disc (can substitute with 1 tbsp brown sugar)
DIRECTIONS:
Mix entire bag of our mole starter with tomato sauce in a large saucepan. Stir and simmer under medium heat until starter is fully dissolved.
Add 3 cups of broth and bring to a boil.
Remove from heat and season with salt and our oaxaca chocolate (or brown sugar substitute)
Stir until chocolate or sugar has been thoroughly incorporated.
Serve warm
Makes 6 cups of Mole Sauce.
